The sophisticated, retrospective glamour of the Great Gatsby came alive in the marketing of this spectacular event. Crisp, bold gold and black of the logo design, invitation, menu, program, poster and auction materials translated well into the stage design and ice sculpture with its architectural, dramatic look and feel. The high-end tone was set for the waitlisted, sold-out event, raising over $350,000 for state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment at the Advanced Endoscopy Center at St. Joseph Medical Center. Stylized type represented the poster look of Art Deco, while patterned squares mimicked bead dresses of the Gatsby era and formed an abstract cross for the Catholic hospital system.
